Kartodromo Val Vibrata

about 13 km · 15 min

One of the historic tracks of Italian karting: opened in 1987, 1,050 metres long and 8 to 10 metres wide, it has hosted rounds of the World and European Championships over the years. In July 2026 it hosted round 4 of the Italian ACI Karting Championship, with classes from MINI to KZ2. The paddock of about 10,000 m² has around 500 pit boxes, a fully equipped workshop, a bar and restaurant and a play area for those accompanying the drivers. Avio Club Val Vibrata

Flight school recognised by the Aero Club d'Italia, with two grass runways in the countryside between the sea and the mountains. It runs courses for ultralight flying (VDS), PPL and LAPL licences, paramotoring and gliding, as well as open days and fly-ins. If you want to try flying, there are trial flights: the Val Vibrata seen from above, with the Gran Sasso on one side and the Adriatic on the other.

Centro Ippico Le Arene

Equestrian centre affiliated to FISE (the Italian Equestrian Federation) and specialised in western riding, especially reining and roping. From March to October it hosts the rounds of the ARAM regional reining championship (IRHA, FISE and NRHA circuits), with multi-day shows that attract riders from all over central Italy: in 2026 five rounds, including the Adriatic Derby in July and the Adriatic Futurity in October. Besides the riding school and horse livery, there is a farm stay next to the centre: a handy base for riders, trainers and families following the shows. Closed on Mondays.

Running, cycling and outdoor sports

In 2026 the Val Vibrata is a "European Community of Sport": about 50 events across its 12 towns, including running races, tournaments and competitions. For cyclists, the coastal cycle path links Martinsicuro, Alba Adriatica and Tortoreto along the sea, while the hills inland offer routes for road and gravel bikes.
